NoFollow No More, Let’s DoFollow
Another good idea for love link. To all bloggers out there, Let’s DoFollow.
What Does DoFollow Mean?
It means that if you comment – even once – you get a linkback from me! Comments twice? Two linkbacks! If you comment enough to get on the Top Commentators list, you get the linkbacks from all of those comments and one for each page the plugin is running on- which is every page of this site!!
What Is The NOFOLLOW Tag Anyway?!
The NOFOLLOW tag was created by Google to fight comment spam, it was a great idea but there are so many plugins that fight spam today (like Akismet) that I don’t really think it’s necessary anymore – and there aren’t many spiders that use this tag anyway: if a Yahoo or MSN bot crawls your site, they actually ignore the tag!
How Can I Remove It From My Site?!
Since i use Wordpress. I use this one
Ok, here are the rules:
***Begin to copy here***
1. Write a short paragraph at the beginning of your post and link back to the blog that put you on the list in the paragraph. This isn’t a suggestion. You need to break up the duplicate content. Someone took the time to add you so the least you can do is give them an extra link back.
2. Copy the list of originals below COMPLETELY and add it to your blog. If you would like a different keyword for your blog then change it when you do your post and it should pass to most blogs with that keyword.
3. Take the adds from the blog that added you and place them in the “Originals” list.
4. Add at least 1 new blog that you KNOW us using the DO FOLLOW plugin to the list in the “My Adds” section. (Add no more than 5!) Let the people you’ve added know, so that they can keep the list going!

Thanks for the add! I hope the number of people using DoFollow increases. Nice list.
Do post again about how you find this impacts the level of comment on your blog. I’ve been manually adding links to commenting sites I like for a while, which spreads the link love without being so random as dofollow or the ‘top commentators’ lists. But I’m thinking of switching to the dofollow route.
