this goes out to the iphone dev team thats currently in the process of doing a software unlock for the iphone 3g...... if there is factory unlocked iphone 3g baseband out there like hongkong italy etc.. why wouldnt u guys try to extract it and re apply it to us iphone 3g instead of makeing a whole new baseband ... and if the overseas baseband cant connect to 3g towers why dont u edit it with your own custom baseband to basically make it work for us considering ppl from the us are buying unlocked
